Damp night on my skin 
Moonlight shining in 
Sleepless in Jersey 
The moon is pearly  
 
A halo of clouds 
around him crowds
His peeping eye bright 
He takes the spotlight  
 
Four nights in a row 
pulled in his undertow 
Dream-snatched and weary 
This is his theory: 
 
The full moon's magic 
Enthralling, hypnotic 
Fills the lonely hours 
with levitating powers
