Above cobalt blue, below sunny yellow.
This is how it was, on any given day, mellow.
Resplendent fields of Life and Unity; sunflowers.
Turning to soak up the sun's energetic powers.
Growing tall, presiding majestically over its once beautiful Country.
National Flower of Ukraine.
Now symbol of resistance against tyranny's reign.
Petal-like rays, a sun's face.
Whorled sunflowers, happinesses Grace.
That draw you in for a warm embrace.
Freedom must triumph over tragedy so Peace can find its rightful place.
